Idavis Garcia

I am Idavis Garcia and I love to dance! I have a background in Ballet, Jazz, Latin Rhythms, and Drama. I have been dancing all my life. I was born in Puerto Rico, and Latin music rhythms are in my blood. Growing up we celebrated everything around us with music and dancing.  I took my first Zumba® class over nine years ago, and I knew I had found a great, fun way to exercise. When I do Zumba® I feel free, happy, and full of energy. I love sharing my passion with others, and I am involved in my local community with spreading the Zumba® love and in bringing awareness of healthy living and lifestyle change. I’ve had the privilege to teach Zumba® Kids and Folkloric Dancing to children in elementary schools and in centers for children and families for the past ten years.  I also teach Zumba® for Danzar Studio, 24hour Fitness, Fitness 19, the YMCA, Total Woman, and The Bay Club. I have current certifications and licenses in AFAA (Group Exercise Instructor Certification), Zumba® Instructor License, Zumba® Kids & Zumba® Kids Jr. License, Aqua Zumba® License, Pro Skill Oxygen, CPR and First Aid Certified, and I have a BS degree in Social Science.
